I found this to be really interesting especially for early season hunting and stand placement. Thanks for the tips on everything http://elitehuntsman.com
ReplyDeleteSuper cool blog, guys. How much did it cost you to ship your meat home from Kodiak? That Sitka Blacktail hunt has been a dream of mine for a long time, now.
ReplyDeleteWe shipped 200 lbs. of caribou home to Portland, Oregon, from Prudhoe Bay last year via FedEx, and it cost us $510.00. Not too bad, really.
We shipped one caribou skull to Anchorage from Prudhoe Bay. That only cost me $75, and the air freight company did a fantastic job of being careful with the velvet. Knight's taxidermy picked it up for us at the freight terminal in Anchorage, and did a European mount with the velvet preserved. Not a monster, but it was my son's first caribou so we wanted to mount it for him.
Thanks so much!

Thanks! We shipped everything via AK Airlines our baggage fees ran about $300
